Below are a few great videos to watch to improve your technique, or to learn something new!
The YouTube Channel stringtechnique is an AWESOME resource for all four of the string instruments. It has TONS of videos that cover the basics such as posture, bow hold, and good sound. This is a GREAT way for parents to help their child (especially beginners), and know what to look for. Since there are so many videos on this channel, type into the search box what you want help with!

Videos on learning vibrato (that SHAKEY THING!!). I recommend this for fifth grade students, NOT beginners!
Violin and Viola vibrato is done the same way! Cello and Bass vibrato is very similar.

For Violin & Viola students: What is shifting??? Are there really notes all the way up the fingerboard?! Third position is the first position that you learn to shift to and it is when your first finger moves up to the place that third finger normally goes. I recommend these videos for fifth graders!
